Double Gold for a Silverback at Grappling Industries!

Tommy Weinberger headed over to Wisconsin Dells to compete at the Grappling Industries Jiu-Jitsu tournament.

Silverback BJJ’s day class coach, Mike Jaremba, was there for the day to coach Tommy to victory. We have a great group of teammates and coaches at Silverback Jiu-Jitsu! The support and push that we all give each other is a huge part of successes such as this!

Coach Mike’s summary is as follows, “I had the privilege to go to the Dells today and coach my good friend and teammate Tommy Knowles at the Grappling Industries tournament and he went 4-0 on the day and brought home double gold!
Gi division he hit an awesome omaplata in his first match and won the 2nd match 2-0 with those 2 points off a takedown.
No Gi division he got a very tight Americana in his first match and won his 2nd match via advantage.
I can’t say enough about how proud I am today. We started morning classes a couple months ago at Silverback BJJ on Tuesday and Thursday mornings because some of us work 2nd shift and can’t make it to night classes during the week. Well Tommy has taken advantage of this opportunity and been a regular at these classes, rarely missing a day. A couple days it’s been just Tommy and I putting in work but today we got to see that work pay off! Congrats again Tommy, well deserved!!!”I had the privilege to go to the Dells today and coach my good friend and teammate Tommy Knowles at the Grappling Industries tournament and he went 4-0 on the day and brought home double gold!
