This tournament is held at the same venue as the IBJJF Worlds! The Pyramid is a pretty cool site to see, inside and out!
The IBJJF runs this tournament the day before the Worlds, allowing them to use one setup for two tournaments.
Coach Roffers won the semi-final and championship matches to take first place in the Master 7 Heavyweight Black Belt division.
He went on to compete in the 11 man absolute division. After winning the quarter-final match by submission, he lost the semi-final via a nicely executed reverse triangle, landing in third place.
